Smith & Smith Kitchens Project 16
This beach house abode was crafted to be especially luxurious and eye-catching. Designed by the team at Smith & Smith Kitchens, this kitchen has a wonderful, contemporary flair. The client wanted the kitchen area to have a clean, modern feel without appearing too cold, whilst adhering to a practical budget.
The liberal use of timber gives the kitchen its warmth, while exposed shelves make it easy for the homeowners to personalise the space. The classic, neutral colour scheme combined with the timber floorboards allows the solid-oiled, white oak benchtop to stand out and asserts the beautifully tiled splashback as the focal piece of the room.
A combination of large cabinet sizes and careful choices of where to spend and where to save, ensures that the kitchen looks fabulous but doesn’t break the bank. Easy-clean surfaces, J-Groove drawers, Castella Flute handles and Blum Antaro soft-close hinges were also fitted, giving the kitchen a modern yet sophisticated appeal. Ample drawers offer extensive and ergonomic storage, while flat panel doors keep the silhouette clean and free from sharp shadows. An abundance of natural light basks the space during the day, and hanging pendant lights give the kitchen a wonderful glow at night.
Taking pride in their ability to provide beautiful cabinetry, the team at Smith & Smith Kitchens are experts in creating bespoke solutions for all rooms of the home. From kitchens and bathrooms to studies and libraries, there is no limit to the team’s abilities.
