Designed and built by Sherridon Homes, the Milan provides comfortable accommodation for the entire family, as well as generously-sized bedrooms and individual living spaces.

The Milan was designed with the intention of bringing the outdoors in and to create a space that feels significantly larger than its raw numbers would suggest. This was achieved by dedicating the full width of the dwelling to the open plan living area at the rear of the property, which is certainly the star of the show, to ensure the home feels spacious.

With Melbourne’s land sizes ever decreasing, Sherridon Homes recognises that the ability to look over the garden area, no matter how small, can significantly and positively impact the lifestyle of the home’s occupants.

The home’s four bedrooms and separate living zone are located away from the open-plan area at the rear, in order to make it as spacious as possible. A stunning, three-sided kitchen – with an oversized island bench and breakfast bar – is positioned to overlook the entire width of the rear of the home, further adding to the sense of space.

In order to achieve an indoor/outdoor integration, Sherridon Homes designed the Milan from the rear forwards. A total grid that would allow for a liveable backyard area on a 32m-deep block was first established, followed by the choice to dedicate the entire width of the home to an open-plan living area.

The home has a 6-star energy rating and the Milan 29 is now on display at Harpley Estate in Werribee. The larger Milan 32 can be viewed at Woodlea Estate in Rockbank.
