Opt for the popular ceiling height of 2.7m, or to comfortably accommodate ornate cornices and ceiling rosettes a three-metre-high ceiling will work best.

Another important part of reproducing a traditional Australian home is the verandah. Harkaway Homes’ exclusive high-wall system will allow your verandah to be comfortably positioned next to the home. Correct falls and profiles are easily achieved by the team, who will ensure that your home maintains character, without sacrificing natural light. Harkaway Homes’ verandah options come in many shapes and sizes, and are a great way to customise your new home.

A Harkaway Home can be built using the project-managed method – wherein the project is registered to you as an owner-builder and all the work is performed by subcontractors – or the client can engage a licensed builder to lead the project. The majority of clients choose the project-managed option, which the company greatly encourages to maximise savings while maintaining a high-quality finish.
