A VICTORIAN FACADE

From the outside, this home appears to be a small Victorian terrace house – however, looks can be deceiving. The Victorian façade was included in the new home design in keeping with the street character, utilising tessellated tiles, fretwork and a slate roof with a custom diamond design. The interior, however, offers a contrast with the exterior. Inside, the home is a modern classic masterpiece that exemplifies opulent modern living, spanning over three levels. In this project, Norton Builders seamlessly blends traditional Victorian features and contemporary elements throughout the home.

The stunning interior is filled with natural light and showcases charming Victorian details including ceiling roses, hanging rails, gorgeous upcycled fireplaces and antique bronze tapware. These palatial features are contrasted with modern elements including an immaculate steel feature door, generous skylights, a delightful alfresco and an enviable pool. The home also meets the growing push for improved sustainability, with the installation of double-glazed windows to exceed the standard 6-star energy rating.

This sprawling home is built to accommodate the needs of family living. It boasts two separate home offices, satisfying the increasing integration of flexible working arrangements in many industries. One of these offices is situated as a standalone at the rear of the property, equipped with a kitchenette and bathroom to create a perfectly self-sufficient working space.

This project’s design optimises the openness and cohesion between spaces. The gorgeous kitchen is pleasantly capacious, with a large kitchen island that is situated as a prominent feature in the room.
