This home strikes the perfect balance between practical and welcoming, embodying a feeling of flexibility and connection to its surroundings while meeting the demands of day-to-day living. The client wanted a home that would support their growing family and reflect a relaxed coastal vibe, seeking bright, calm spaces, practical layouts and finishes that could handle daily family life.

The team at Grollo Homes met this brief by incorporating simple textures, a soft coastal palette and cleverly designed layouts.

Tiered landscaping allows the house to sit level on the sloping site while maintaining a strong connection to the outdoors, including a raised pool area that integrates seamlessly with the main living spaces. The interior layout is easy to navigate, catering to the needs of a growing family and positioned to feel open and uncluttered. At the rear, the living area and terrace take full advantage of coastal views, bringing light, openness and the relaxed atmosphere the clients desired, while making the home feel larger.

The home uses a combination of white brick and smooth render to create a clean, coastal-inspired aesthetic with a calming, timeless feel. Curved forms at the front reference the coastal environment and add softness and approachability to the façade. This project incorporates a range of sustainable features, reducing environmental impact and improving efficiency. Solar panels and a home battery provide renewable energy, while electric car chargers support low-emission transport. Water management is addressed through a rainwater collection tank and on-site stormwater detection system, reducing run-off and conserving resources. Together, these features create a home that is environmentally responsible, practical for family life and aligned with modern sustainable living standards.
