Englehart Homes

This striking home by Englehart Homes maximises its 2248m2 site, with careful attention paid to orientation and aspect. Showcasing a modern design and architecturally brilliant elements, the abode features an open-plan layout with ample room for entertaining, as well as private spaces for the whole family to utilise.

Through combining Freeform Howqua and Alpine Dry Stone cladding, bricks by Daniel Robertson, as well as steel and timber, the façade is a contemporary masterpiece. The prominent channel steel and timber cantilevered roof is a standout addition and creates a spectacular floating entrance, while the double- and single-car garages provide everyday convenience.

Formed in an open ‘U’ shape, the interior comprises six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a generous kitchen, living and dining space, as well as an adjoining service hub including a walk-in pantry, laundry and drying room. A strategically positioned roof window adds plenty of natural light within the kitchen, illuminating the work surfaces.

A large rumpus room separates the children’s wing from the central area, while the main bedroom and guest suite are positioned on the opposite side of the home for added privacy.

The internal living spaces open onto the north-facing entertaining area, creating a seamless flow to the outdoors. Protected by a wide loggia roof, the alfresco area is perfect for relaxing with guests, and enjoying the pool and spa.

Featuring a range of impressive fixtures and fittings, the home showcases spotted gum timber, large-format porcelain tile floors, stunning stone benchtops, custom two-pack cabinetry, state-of-the-art appliances by V-Zug and Leibherr, and a statement wood fireplace with a bluestone hearth.

To ensure the home is comfortable and energy efficient, hydronic heating, underflooring heating, integrated cooling, as well as a ducted vacuum were installed. An intercom, a security system, and multi-room audio visual systems provide the homeowner with complete peace of mind.

Established in 1980 by Ron Englehart, Englehart Homes creates architecturally designed homes for discerning clients. Englehart was inspired to start his own company after identifying a gap in the market for those who wanted to build their dream home without the cost of an architect.

Since its inception, Englehart Homes has received more than 100 industry awards. Today, the majority of its projects are custom-designed, though a number start out as a variation of one of its display-home designs. With a focus on quality, efficiency, originality and sustainability, the dedicated team are able to turn home buyers’ dreams into reality at an appealing price.

Englehart Homes is a member of the Housing Industry Association (HIA) and the Master Builders’ Association (MBA). Ron Englehart was the inaugural chairman of the HIA Victoria Planning, Environment and Development Committee, and was the organisation’s first national GreenSmart leader.

The company operates with the simple philosophy that all houses should have strong street appeal and pleasing aesthetics. The team believe that customer satisfaction is vital and they build with a keen eye for quality finishes and innovation.
