Idyllically located on Victoria’s Surf Coast, this family home marries contemporary design with sustainability, creating a harmonious retreat for work, play and family life. The property is truly unique, with no formal front or back and multiple entry and exit points, immersing occupants in outdoor entertaining and lush landscaping. Created as two distinct pavilions connected via a glass walkway, the main wing houses the central living, kitchen, dining areas, office, cinema and master suite, while the other is dedicated to the children’s and guest quarters, complete with separate entertaining areas, garage and laundry.

Artisan Elephant Bricks contribute mid-century style and strength, while high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows add elegant curves. Within the main pavilion, raked ceilings accentuate height and are finished with floating plaster and concealed lighting. The home’s double brick walls and polished concrete floors are not only stunning visual elements but serve as a thermal mass – capturing the sun’s warmth in the day and slowly releasing it in the evenings.

The kitchen, dining and lounge area impress with their open-plan design. Natural stone tops the island bench and doubles as a breakfast bar, while high-end appliances streamline the space. Custom timber veneer cabinetry balances the integrated, functional design.

The central area opens onto an outdoor entertaining space boasting a custom-built pizza oven and barbeque. Timber decking, fans and heating enhance the alfresco zone, creating a private and weather-protected retreat. The entertainment room is a cinema lover’s dream, featuring state-of-the-art acoustic insulation and audiovisual equipment, a billiards table and extensive bar with stone splashbacks and subway tile bases.

The master suite offers a serene escape, with walk-in robes, expansive garden views and direct access to a private courtyard. The spacious en suite features double stone topped vanities, brass tapware and subway tile accents. A free-standing bath, positioned against floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the private courtyard, is both luxurious and discreet.
