CLASSIC MEETS CONTEMPORARY

In collaboration with Ange from Jada Interior Design, this project crafted by VICBUILT stands out for its seamless integration of mid-20th century charm with modern amenities, creating a home that feels both timeless and contemporary. The client’s brief emphasised a spacious, warm environment without an industrial feel which has been perfectly met. Finishes, joinery and colours were carefully selected to enhance the home’s character, ensuring a cohesive design throughout. Re-built sash windows from Darebin Timber and Hardware are the perfect addition that retain the home’s vintage charm. The architectural team at Ikonomidis Design Studio optimised space, creating a grand entrance and fluid transition between rooms, while double-glazed windows flood the home with natural light.

The stunning marble benchtops from Surface Spectrum are the finishing touches that enhance the modern side of this home. The use of durable and quality materials such as floorboards from Victorian Designer Floors, travertine tiles from Lexatonia and kitchen joinery from FKI Interiors, all work together to fill the home with a warming atmosphere. The complex location in Northcote proved challenging, but the delivery of an exceptional home made it rewarding and worthwhile.
