At first glance, the home’s dark, brick façade is unassuming. However, as soon as you enter the abode, the impressive renovations can instantly be admired. For this project, the homeowners wanted to update their family home to suit their current and future needs, while maintaining their deep emotional connection to the residence. Rahcon worked closely with architect Christopher Johnstone from C.I.J Design, to ensure the renovations and additional rooms complemented the home’s existing design.

The contemporary home now offers a designated wing for the teenagers, a separate parent’s retreat, as well as a newly renovated family room, meals area, kitchen and butler’s pantry. The open-plan living area is flooded with natural light due to the inclusion of soaring ceilings and large double-glazed windows. The windows also provide stunning 180-degree views of the surrounding landscape, which further enhances the bright and airy feel of the space.

Luxurious fittings and finishes such as Italian porcelain tiles are prominently featured in the bathroom, while an Escea DL1100 fireplace with smartphone control in the living room provides an added touch of sophistication.
