MJQ Constructions has delivered true excellence in its latest Hamptons-style project, designed by Peter Hendy Design and Drafting. Although the lot size is modest, clever design and construction has taken full advantage of the available space, giving the impression of an open-plan modern-style home that blends in with the neighbouring properties as though it has been there for years.

The main kitchen and living area serves as the dwelling’s centrepiece, a family hub displaying contemporary styling with hints of the Hamptons. White shaker-style cabinetry and panelling around the generous island bench complement the beautiful blue splashback. Sliding doors allow access to the laundry and the walk-in pantry, replete with open shelves and an additional benchtop.

Each of the four bedrooms have their own en suite. Bolstering the contemporary aesthetic MJQ Constructions was aiming to achieve internally, the bathrooms are clean-cut and cohesive. Warm tiling in the main bathroom frames a luxurious bathtub, and all bathrooms house a walk-in shower walled in by clear glass to maintain the sense of spaciousness. A charming dog-legged staircase leads to the top floor, a single room that boasts gorgeous, raked gable ceilings – a cosy
spot fit for a second living area.
