RENOVATION AT ITS BEST

The brief given was to create stunning living spaces that will accommodate a growing and active family. The designer skillfully achieved this by coming up with a design that incorporates double cathedral ceilings with both north and south facing raked gable end windows, to target natural maximum light from this home. The existing lean-to extension, which is common on Californian bungalows, was the first thing to be removed, along with some rear rooms to make way for the new extension. The home was repainted inside and out, and newly engineered floors and new carpets were laid throughout.

Walls in the existing portion of the house were altered to create a more modern flow. There is a new attached garage that was built to the right-hand side of the house, a new master bedroom and an ensuite, all with stunning interior designer selection tiles and tapware. The bathroom has a wet-room design to maximise the use of space, and a skylight has also been incorporated to enhance natural light. The standout for this project is the striking double gable roof line, with cathedral ceilings and gable highlight windows, capturing maximum light. Also, the beautiful finishes to cabinetry and clever use of space is certainly noteworthy.
