Melbourne Home Builders Project 3

This elegant home renovation has been tailored to the needs of the client who was meaningfully involved in the project throughout its realisation. For this project Melbourne Home Builders collaborated with Sketch Building Design and Empire Interiors with the intention of respecting the history of the home but also creating a comfortable, stylish place to live for a young family with two children.

The original heritage double-fronted home needed both restoration and preservation; the new space is contemporary and stylish but also retains the homely and comforting atmosphere of the home. Burnished concrete floors extend throughout, and expansive glass windows and doors maximise light, giving the space an open feel, while different textures and materials create visual intrigue.

The home is also functional, with clever joinery, stone benchtops, a smart and stylish storage area, and innovative lighting. It boasts a fantastic use of space, and access and lifestyle were carefully considered throughout the design process. The outdoor living space harmonises with the overall design and Melbourne Home Builders has created a great flow from indoor to outdoor areas.
