Main Street Design Studio and 4D Homes collaborated with PSE Consulting Engineers to bring this impressive home to life. With a brief to create a comfortable, flexible family home that takes advantage of the natural light from the west, along with passive supervision of the outdoor spaces, the team were able to create something truly special.

The home’s façade champions a bold combination of textures. Recycled red brickwork and Silvertop Ash Shiplap cladding warmly contrast with the standing seam metal cladding and Masterwall rendered foam. The arrangement of these materials was done with clear intention and work effortlessly with the varying shapes, angles and proportions.

Internally, the spaces are all about warmth and connection to the outside. Upon entering the home, a double-height void provides a sense of transparency and connectivity between the first and second storey. The recycled brick makes another appearance along a feature wall to break up the white Monument paint. Past the entrance is a stepped slab leading into the main living area, which creates an internal level change that maximises the high ceilings and distinguishes these separate spaces.

This top-of-the-line home consists of dark brooding materials in the bathrooms, open-plan living with huge spaces and multiple glass sliding doors to the rear of the house. These lead out to the backyard, which boasts an inviting alfresco and pool with a sense of privacy and seclusion – perfect for everyday relaxation and entertaining.
