ECO-ELEGANCE

Maeco Builders, in collaboration with Eco Logical Building Design, has meticulously crafted a unique space that fosters connection between homeowners and their environment. The client’s vision was crystal clear. They sought a long-term home that would offer comfort for a lifetime, abundant natural light and a design that ensures year-round temperature control. They also wanted to beautifully frame breathtaking views, creating a seamless connection with the surrounding landscape.

This project stands out as it is intricately connected to the land in a regenerative way, ensuring sustainability for the long term. However, the steep site presented challenges that required careful planning from both the designers and builders. The choice of materials, such as brick and timber, adds warmth and cosiness, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces. Notable sustainable features include prefabricated strawbale panels, supplied by Viva Homes, solar panels, a composting toilet and a Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) system. To meet the client’s requirements, high ceilings and large windows were installed to enhance natural light. The result is a modern, open home that is both light-filled and flexible, offering stunning views of nature while promoting a conscious lifestyle.
