CLASSIC EXTERIOR MEETS MODERN ELEGANCE

This new renovation from Hudson Building Co is an outstanding example of how to modernise a home while still respecting its character. The owners of the home wanted to maintain the home’s classic exterior while transforming its interior into an elegant modern abode worthy of the Hamptons. The transformation was comprehensive, requiring the home to be stripped back to its frame and the floor completely reconstructed.

Hudson Building Co took great care to replace the existing rotted weatherboards in such a way as to be indistinguishable from the originals. The visible exterior changes were made to improve the homes liveability, transforming the carport into two single car garages and adding a fence to make the front yard safe for children and pets.

Inside the home, some internal walls were removed to open the space up, while the vaulted ceiling bathroom doubled in size to accommodate the new egg-shaped bath. Herringbone timber floors and custom architraves and skirtings are complemented by luxurious brushed gold fixtures and fittings. Recycled joinery and stone benchtops were used in the kitchen, laundry and study to improve sustainability. Sixteen solar panels have been installed to keep this dream family space charged all year round.
