This recent project by Holt Construction Group, in collaboration with Core Collective Architects, is a stunning example of innovative home design that offers inspiration at every turn.

Designed to meet the homeowner’s need for a versatile, multi-use space, the build blends functionality with creativity while responding beautifully to its environment. Despite the challenges of a steep site and collapsing sand during excavation, the team’s skill and craftsmanship ensured a flawless result. The stepped design follows the natural land contours, while a green roof planted with locally sourced species allows the home to integrate seamlessly into the delicate dune ecosystem.

Its robust masonry structure is clad in weathering steel and features double-glazed, steel-framed windows, allowing it to sit harmoniously among tea trees and coastal heath. Materials such as concrete, Corten steel sheeting, and masonry blocks add texture and strength, elevating the architectural form. This project stands as a true masterpiece – resilient, refined, and deeply connected to its coastal surroundings.
