Green Design Homes Project 4

Timber and black accents make bold statements in the kitchen area, with burnished concrete floor complementing the dramatic look. The dark embellishments of inside flow through to the outdoor area, with black, steel ‘spider legs’ defining the outdoor living area and providing a striking contrast to the white cladding. This home is an elevated, modernised version of the clients’ home they built well over 30 years ago. At the clients’ request, the team at Green Design Homes kept the split level, angular wall panelling in the en suite, and the slanted roof line to create this bespoke design.

In collaboration with the homeowners’ wishes, Mark Dower and Peter Green of Green Design Homes worked around the steep block of land and maximised the  to create a spacious, functional home. The team incorporated three step downs to achieve this, all the while retaining the sleekness and sophistication of the design. Rectangular skylights allow natural light to stream through the kitchen and living areas, while the double-glazed windows and solar hot water systems promote sustainable living.
