Sleek, sophisticated and sensationally constructed by the team at Better Bathrooms & Kitchens in collaboration with Penny del Castillo of Studio del Castillo, this bathroom and en suite duo are a sight to behold. Matching contemporary materials and colour schemes were used in each bathroom design, establishing a unifying aesthetic to tie the two spaces together within the house. The differing layouts provide a unique experience for the homeowner and answer the day-to-day functional needs of each room.

Honouring the more varied usage of the main family bathroom, the expert team at Better Bathrooms & Kitchens went above and beyond to ensure the functionality and beauty of this space. A generous vanity stretches across one wall, the minimalist profile painted a deep charcoal and fitted with black tapware to tie in with the invitingly moody aesthetic. Mirrored upper cabinetry provides generous storage that is perfect for the household bathroom, while a luxury tub and waterfall showerhead offer an optimum bathing experience.

Feature walls of vertical black ‘Kit-Kat’ tiles were used in both bathrooms to create showstopping statements. This dramatic glistening feature provides a touch of decadence to the modern minimalist design style. The vertical placement of the wall tiles draws the eye up and enhances the sense of space within each room. Strip lighting was installed along the top of each feature wall for an illuminating statement, demonstrating the care and attention to detail provided by the creative team at Better Bathrooms & Kitchens.

Wrapping beige stone tiles around the surrounding three walls and floors, Better Bathrooms & Kitchens offered a natural warmth and texture to create a relaxing retreat for the homeowners. The subtle texture and neutral colour of the stone tiles imbibes a calming aesthetic into these private retreats, softening the darker, dramatic design features. Double waterfall showerheads provide a generous luxury to the en suite, their placement and feature wall of vertical black ‘Kit-Kat’ tiles providing a dramatic focal point for the room. A subtle inclusion of messmate timber offers a deluxe quality to set this en suite apart from its counterpart.
