Better Bathrooms & Kitchens Project 14
FRESH UPDATES BRING EVERYTHING TOGETHER
Creating a space that stands out is easy, but making an impact while blending in requires a more thoughtful design. The focus of this project was taking an outdated bathroom and transforming it into a functional modern space that is visually stunning while complimenting the aesthetic of the client’s existing bathrooms.
The team at Better Bathrooms & Kitchens have coined a new term to describe this process, ‘Cohesivistication’, a blend of cohesion and sophistication. This term has been created to encapsulate the seamless integration of modern design elements with the home’s established aesthetic.
The first step in the process is to apply the company’s tried-and-tested true standard upgrading process to bring the bathroom up to modern standards. A stepless shower with a minimalist, frameless shower panel brings a sleek and accessible look to the space, while its dimensions have been enlarged to create an open and luxurious feel.
The new toilet incorporates an in-wall cistern, offering a sleek, streamlined design while maximising floor space for enhanced movement throughout the room. The floating vanity enhances the room’s contemporary, modern aesthetic, while the LED mirrored cabinet adds practicality and bounces natural light throughout the space.
The client insisted on the colour scheme and materials being a proper match for those used in their existing bathrooms – and Better Bathrooms & Kitchens delivered an exceptional result, transforming this space into a true masterpiece. The room is beautifully designed with high-quality grey porcelain tiles, perfect for durability with a timeless style. These minimalist tiles create a striking contrast with the curved timber vanity, adding warmth and texture to the space, making it a tranquil oasis.
The dark tapware comprised of brushed gunmetal provides a bold contrast to the surrounding fixtures. The subtle curve of the glass shower screen mirrors the graceful curve of the showerhead, thoughtfully aligned with the arched mirror cabinet and heated vertical towel rails. The room is elegantly finished with a sleek, white stone benchtop that keeps the vanity clean, beautiful and functional. Best of all, none of this perfectly coordinated beauty comes at the cost of the sustainability. The bathroom features water-saving tapware, energy-efficient LED lighting, sustainably sourced timber and durable materials, ensuring environmental responsibility and long-lasting quality. The project was not without challenges, but thanks to a collaborative effort between the manager, Carolyn, and a team of skilled tradespeople, it was able to be brought to life. Precision, expertise and attention to detail has expertly crafted this contemporary, modern space, architecturally designed by our very own in-house designer Hitika Gupta, that will be enjoyed for years to come.
