REVIVING THE PAST

This heritage beauty is a stunning example of the diligence and excellence of a G4 Build Co project. The finished product is a breathtaking feat in retaining the old-world charm of a heritage property, while enhancing the functionality of the home with new and improved features. The client desired a period style home with design elements resembling that of a Californian bungalow, with rustic and nostalgic finishes.

Meetings with the client defined the exact vision for the project. This process revealed that timber would be a key element of the home, striking a balance between the rustic aesthetic and the retro charm inherent in both heritage homes and bungalows. The client only wanted the best and G4 Build Co provided, sourcing only high-quality timber products, plumbing and light fixtures. Timber was brought into the design anywhere that made sense, from the flooring and windows to the skirting and architraves. The client prioritised Spotted Gum, requiring that this material stand out above the rest.
