BIRTHDAY MAKEOVER

With a bit of care and attention, and older house can still be the home of your dreams. Mather Homes Pty Ltd took this venerable property and gave it a big birthday makeover to rejuvenate the space in accordance with the client’s vision. Cleaning up the place was the name of the game on this job, with the team making every effort to retain as much of the original home as possible. Wherever original materials could be brought back to life they were, such as the original floors being re-levelled and the weatherboard walls being straightened.

The biggest changes came in the kitchen and laundry, which required a little more work to modernise. Dreamcraft Interiors provided updated cabinetry that added ample storage in the kitchen and the new island bench was put on wheels to keep the space open and flexible. The laundry had a wall removed to combine the space with the bathroom. The backyard wasn’t forgotten either, being fully landscaped to match the home’s beautiful new look.
