This impressive project by Trentwood Homes is a stunning piece of architectural excellence, located in the heart of regional Victoria. The design stands out with a unique blend of bold, impactful claddings and finishes, yet is refined through carefully chosen colour tones. The client’s brief called for a minimalistic blend of mid-century modern architecture with influences from Palm Springs, aiming to harmonise with the surrounding landscape, capture views and maximise natural light.

The goal was to create a beautiful, timeless and low-maintenance home, and Trentwood Homes masterfully delivered. The company met these requirements with minimalistic roof forms and the overall shape of the building, which reflects mid-century modern design. The project makes the most of the available space by cleverly incorporating split levels and two-storey sections to work with the land’s natural fall. One of the major challenges faced was site access, particularly in constructing the basement at the rear of the dwelling, which was only accessible via the street frontage. Trentwood Homes overcame this by developing a carefully planned construction process that included an access ramp. Sustainable features such as the thoughtful use of recycled bricks enhance the project’s eco-friendly appeal.
