Established in 1986, the founder, inspired by a long appreciation of fine Australiana homes, created a methodology for reproducing the period homes of a bygone era. The founder explains, “it soon became very clear that our concept had hit a nerve and that there were many people looking for a home with character, charm and wanting something genuinely different in what is a very mundane world of housing.”

As architectural designers and major components suppliers, clients have the option to project manage the build of their home or engage with a licenced builder, thus assuring cost-effective construction, predictable outcomes and proven affordability.

With nine ranges on offer showcasing unique profiles and character, clients are sure to find a range that meets their tastes. Beneath these rooflines, each interior layout is flexible. The Harkaway Homes team encourage their clients to personalise the floorplans to suit all their lifestyle needs and desires – be it a traditional floorplan or one aiming for a more modern, open-plan style of living.

With a desire to build such iconic homes for Australians in most corners of the country, Harkaway Homes operate across six whole states, with existing client homes currently situated in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Canberra and southern Queensland.

Located in Pakenham’s Southeast Business Park, Harkaway Homes’ head office showcases one of the striking exteriors included in the company’s Pavilion Roofline series, as well as a comprehensive photographic display of existing client homes. The showroom features an interactive theatre, as well as floor plans and additional build information. Located next to the office is the equally impressive Gabled Victorian Traditional display home, which you can walk through at your leisure.
