A RENOVATION WITH A PLEASANT SURPRISE

An industrial-inspired renovation, Mather Building Group renovated this house from a dark and uninviting space to an open and bright home. With a modern, neutral colour palette of concrete grey countertops, black cabinetry by Dreamcraft Interiors, white walls and pressed metal splashbacks, the home exudes warmth and sophistication.

The main feature of the home is the exposed red brick wall, a treasure that was surprisingly uncovered from underneath plaster during the demolishing process. After being sealed up, it now serves as a focal point and beautifully complements the home’s interior with a fiery warmth.

The wall separating the kitchen and living room was demolished to open the space and allow the client to entertain many people comfortably. The Velux sky lights at the rear of the living space let an abundance of light into the previously dark space.
