COMFORT MEETS ELEGANCE

This magnificent Richmond home renovation was completed by Inside and Out Builders. Featuring four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a butler’s pantry, fireplace and a home theatre system, comfortable living with luxurious finishes were the focus of this awe-inspiring project.

Utilising a combination of complementary materials, including concrete, reclaimed bricks, bluestone, render and feature timbers, this two-storey extension with rooftop balcony is a sight to behold, with hidden storage, clever cabinetry and careful designs to maximise space throughout the home.

Energy efficiency was also front of mind during the build. An outdoor balcony garden sits on the second floor with a skylight to the living room below, while a water tank feeds the lavatories and garden taps. The home is also kitted-out with full solar power and a battery pack, as well as hydronic heating, double-glazed windows and completely soundproof insulation in all the internal and split-level walls.

In an incredible feat of industry, the entire demolition was done by hand, due to incredibly tight access to the home, no access to the back of the property and a desire to keep the property’s original front façade. This epitomises the heart of Inside and Out Builders, a company that prides itself on customer service, problem-solving and completing work on time.
