Built by Exotic Pools, this concrete pool epitomises simplicity and functionality in a compact, suburban backyard. The homeowners wanted a pool that would be perfect for entertaining and evoke family fun.

The construction of the 7.7m x 3.5m pool and 2m x 2m spa was made possible by the access granted via the consent of the owners of the adjacent property. The pool and spa had been excavated in a confined space to fit alongside a row of established trees and rock-retaining walling on the back boundary. The owner had a vision of scenic practicality in mind when designing this pool and worked closely with Exotic Pools to realise their dream build.

Exquisite, white mosaic tiles were used in order to achieve the cool water colour that was envisioned by the client. An existing row of ornamental pear trees on the back fence perfectly align with the pool, acting as a picturesque backdrop. The entire area is a striking dichotomy of sophistication and fun. Flamed bluestone surround paving adds a sleek touch, while a synthetic grassed play area with a basketball tower was also installed by the team at Exotic Pools.

To create a modern oasis that incorporates family fun, the pool and spa were carefully placed to provide enough room to fit a basketball practice area. To keep the pool at the optimum level, extra work was also performed to install foundation beams under the pool.

Always on the forefront of innovative pool technology, Exotic Pools cleverly included practical, energy-efficient features in this pool design. An innovative Cool Photovoltaic (PV) system of electricity panels was installed to simultaneously heat up the pool water and to generate electricity for the home. This allows the excess electricity to be stored for later use, or fed back to the grid, acting as two solar systems in one.

Naked Fresh Water System was used for sanitisation, saving up to 60 percent in running costs. The pool is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, with the Astral GB705 Sand Filter and a Viron Variable speed pump in the P520XT model, and additionally boasts multi-coloured pool lights for all evening, poolside entertainment needs.
