This Lubelso by Canny home clearly showcases the best of Canny Group’s architectural style, construction quality and interior finishes. Lubelso by Canny is a national award-winning range of luxury, pre-designed homes. Every facet of this home integrates style into everyday living from its free-flowing layout, to its cutting-edge interior scheme with mid-20th century modern Scandinavian influences. The double-storey contemporary home is elegantly proportioned and features three integrated living zones, four bedrooms, two courtyards, a study, covered outdoor living, a butler’s pantry, large garage and an arrival room.

The owners sought a home that would cater to their growing family. Canny Group achieved this by creating individual spaces for both the parents and children, and a large family zone that can easily accommodate indoor and outdoor entertaining. Complete with oak floorboards, pure wool carpets and porcelain tiling, this Brighton home is the epitome of lavish, elegant living.

Before stepping foot into the home, its full-height front door provides glimpses of the property’s two courtyards, which are tucked away on either side of the ground floor. Upon entry, an arrival room allows each family member to store bags, coats, sports gear and shoes. The main living area’s open-plan layout separates it from the entrance zone. Offering expansive views of the courtyard and swimming pool through floor-to-ceiling anodised aluminium windows, the area also includes a powder room, laundry and butler’s pantry. Custom timber cabinetry, a long marble hearth and a remote-controlled Jetmaster fireplace discreetly conceal the house’s entertainment technology.

The flawless kitchen features black timber veneer, a natural white cabinet finish and a grey marble top on the 3.5m island bench. Featuring high-quality Miele appliances and 2 Pac finishes, this kitchen would please even the most particular cook. The ground floor’s spacious open-plan layout is ideal for large-scale entertaining.

The same contemporary palette and luxurious furnishings can be seen upstairs in the main bedroom’s foyer, which opens out to an expansive dressing area. Styled with plush grey carpet, copper detailing and a striking black wall, the space is surely fit for a king. The main bedroom’s ensuite is of the same calibre, and features a skylight over the walk- in shower, as well as heated floors, marble benchtops, 2 Pac finishes, matte black Reece tap ware and a free-standing bath. Down the hall are a further three bedrooms, which all include built-in-wardrobes, and an adjoining activity area, to create a separate living space for children or extended family.

The home’s outdoor undercover alfresco zone is ideal for year-round entertaining. The in-ground pool, built by Canny Group’s Integrated Pools, was strategically designed to consider the shape of the backyard and the home’s orientation. The pool needed to be as maintenance-free as possible, and features a state of the art self-cleaning system and an automatic chemical balance. Featuring decorative concrete surrounds and fully-tiled ceramic mosaic tiles, the pool beautifully complements the home and outdoor area.

This Lubelso by Canny home has a 6-star energy rating through using double-glazed windows, external wall insulation, energy-efficient solar water, a three-zoned heating and cooling system, and three-phased power. Estimated at approximately $1.35 million, this contemporary, high-quality home showcases the remarkable work for which Canny Group is renowned.

Project 1

For this new concept home in Hawthorn, Lubelso, a division of Canny Group, worked with the same exterior look, smart design and luxurious elements as had been utilised in its earlier, award-winning home in Malvern. However, for this project, the team worked to design and construct the home to achieve a lower price point, meeting the demand in the market for architecturally-designed homes in the $1 million and below price range.

A striking, contemporary home, this project was developed with a cost-efficient floor plan that reduced the purchase price without compromising on the luxurious feel to deliver a well-appointed home that is of a standard synonymous with the Canny Group name.

This home offers an impressive street presence, with new finishes, fixtures and fittings that respond to current trends, combined with the same design quality of Canny Group’s earlier Malvern home. It is both family-friendly and more accessible to a larger client base because of the reduced purchase price.

Throughout the home, Lubelso has carefully arranged the spaces to provide a connected mix of private and communal living zones. Ideal for a family with growing children, everyone is able to spread themselves across the open-plan kitchen, dining and living rooms and accommodate for a number of different tasks in one open space.

Ideal for those who love to entertain, the open-plan kitchen includes Neff appliances, Blum cabinetry and a stunning island benchtop. The sleek white cabinetry creates a bold contrast to the dark benchtop, complemented by soft timber details in the furniture and accessories. The oversized timber dining table is surrounded by luxurious leather-covered dining chairs, which offer both comfort and functionality.

The house feels fresh and spacious, with 3-metre-high ceilings throughout the ground floor and 2.7-metre-high ceilings on the first floor. These, paired with the use of pivot doors, help maximise on space at every opportunity.

The open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas also connect to an alfresco area via full-height sliding doors. This space, as well as the two private courtyards that are accessible from the ground floor, offer an abundance of space for homeowners to entertain family and friends in both the warmer and cooler months.

The ground floor also offers a separate living room as well as a study, giving families the ability to create an isolated, private space to work or to relax. Double-glazed windows and internal wall insulation keep these rooms, and the entire home, secure and free of outside noise, as well as helping to achieve a 6-star energy saving rating.

Moving to the first floor, the main bedroom is located at one end, entered only through an ante room to provide a greater sense of separation and sophistication. Styled with plush grey carpet and furnished in a complementary, muted palette, the space offers a welcome retreat. The other end of the first floor holds three generous bedrooms, all connected to a lavish rumpus room.

Building throughout Melbourne, Canny Group has been recognised for many years as an award-winning home designer and builder.

The company was named winner of the Renovation/Addition Project of the Year and Renovation/Addition Project Over $2 Million at the 2013 Housing Industry Association (HIA) Victoria Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards. It was also the recipient of the award for Australian Project Home of the Year Award at the HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards.
