UNIQUE APPEAL FLEXIBLE QUALITY HOME DESIGN The featured project was built by Busby Homes and designed by the company’s in-house designer, Mark Brown. The home exemplifies how easy the process is when you enlist Busby Homes to design and build your house. Starting with a blank sheet of paper on a drawing board, Brown worked with the clients until they were 100 per cent happy with the final result. The clients sought a home that had contemporary style with a unique touch, and it was important that the home was well-lit and spacious, with open entertainment areas. The finished product boasts street presence, multiple entertainment areas, maximum light and individual style and liveability. The various rooflines and external finishes make this home unique - and truly beautiful. Busby Homes has maximised the available space by incorporating the alfresco and outdoor paved areas as a natural flow from the informal living areas, giving a wonderful feeling of space and light. The main bedroom faces the street and flows onto a generous balcony, while the kitchen is the hub of the home’s entertainment areas. Naturally elevated off the street thanks to the rising nature of the block, the house has impressive street appeal and stands out from the crowd. Created on five levels to suit the fall of the land, the home achieves and surpasses the clients’ brief for a unique and appealing family home. Despite having to create the five levels, all roofed independently of each other – described as “a nightmare” for the construction team – Busby Homes persevered and overcame the challenge, creating a home that they, and their clients, are truly proud of. Fitted with a solar hot water service and a rain tank with a 5-star energy rating as well as low voltage downlights and abundant natural lighting, the home is also environmentally friendly.
